Strengthening the Coalition and its Members
Overview of Learning Group Work

QUESTIONS TO ANSWER:

  1. What capacities would our individual members like to strengthen? How would that move more resources toward our shared vision of ending homelessness in RI?
  2. What assets do we have among us that could contribute to increasing our individual and collaborative capacity? What would be needed to share those assets?
  3. Are there additional roles for the Coalition that would build more capacity across the network? What would be needed in order for the Coalition to take on those roles?

WORKPLAN:

  1. Convening
    • Meet as a multi-stakeholder learning group that will meet to explore these questions
    • Develop a more detailed workplan, ground rules, deadlines and budget for your process (around $5,000, includes facilitator)
    • Meet with the prospective facilitator to ensure a good fit and agreement on scope of work
  2. Fact Finding
    • Compile relevant data on your questions
    • Prepare an oral and written interim report of your findings to share with the Coalition
  3. Options and Recommendations
    • Explore other models and options
    • Develop an analysis of all options that will reach the goals
    • Accompany the analysis of the options with your recommendations
    • Present your recommendations to the Coalition

DELIVERABLES/SCHEDULE:
