Each year, the Coalition and it's members come together to celebrate the work of our state's housing and homelessness service providers at the Courage Awards! This extra special occasion is for honoring the immensely difficult work of our providers.

This year our annual Courage Awards was being held on “May Day”, which has traditionally been designated as a day to celebrate workers. We think it's an appropriate day to celebrate the strength and resiliency of frontline service providers working day-in and day-out for our unhoused neighbors.

During the event, four awards we presented to recognize the work of Rhode Island homelessness providers: the Senator Jack Reed Advocacy Award, the Sister Carol McGovern Memorial Award, the Sister Judy Soares & John Coen Memorial Award for Direct Service, and the Impact Award.
