Our State of Homelessness findings for 2022 remain as stark as ever - 1,577 Rhode Islanders (individuals, couples, and families) experienced homelessness on January 26, 2022 (our last “Point in Time” count). Today, there is an average wait of over one month for individuals and families seeking shelter. The solution is simple: we need more housing.
This will be the first year we will host the State of Homelessness event to present and highlight local and state-wide data on homelessness gathered by our staff and coalition partners on Monday, November 14th beginning at 5pm, at the CIC Providence building located at 225 Dyer Street in Providence.
The event was streamed on our Facebook, you can watch the recording here.
